Homeschool Teaching

Math and Language Arts Classes

Flourishing Learners’ Homeschool Teaching Program promises your learner will leave our program having mastery of grade level standards in math and language arts. Throughout the year your child will grow their academic abilities, as well as social-emotional skills and understanding. Each class is aligned with the practices and values of Maria Montessori. Montessori education provides students with direct lessons, freedom of choice within limits, and follows the pursuits of the child. This style of education allows children to develop independence, responsibility, and find joy in learning. Hands-on materials will be provided for use to develop all major learning standards. Furthermore, on a daily basis students will have a work checklist to accomplish and technology will be available for occasional use to aid in the advancement of learning goals.

Our class will model and uphold kindness, working together, understanding emotions of ourselves and others, value differences, and respect for each other and the world around us. Additionally, much of the social-emotional learning will come organically due to well thought out structures and lessons, boundaries and freedom while learning, logical consequences for positive and negative actions, and an open, loving environment.
